I&rsquo;m just not the social network site kind of person. Facebook is kind of funky, but I still conduct most of my communication via IM and <a class="link" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email" target="_blank" rel="noopener" >e-mail</a>. Anyway, with Facebook&rsquo;s [Beacon system](<a class="link" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon_%28Facebook%29%29" target="_blank" rel="noopener" >http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon_(Facebook%29)</a>, and the fact that you opt out rather than opt in, I decided to go and opt out, though it&rsquo;s not amazingly clear that you <em>have</em> opted out. No Beacon here…</p> <p>Personally, as I&rsquo;m not a zealot, this wont impact me much either, but I wonder if this is the beginning of the decline of <a class="link" href="https://nanikore.net/2011/04/28/facebook-updates/" >Facebook</a>. Or even if I&rsquo;d notice. But hey, if you want to contact me, give it a try!</p>
